I'm building a stand for an acrylic 180g. 60" x 30" x 24" tall.

Going to use square or tube steel and was wondering what thickness I should use.

Was thinking of 1/8" thickness. Does anyone know of that will hold? Or should I just got with 1/4"?

Sorry, I should have been more specific. We are going to use 1.5" square hollow tubing.

Was wondering about what thickness.

Will 1/8" thickness work?

HULON would be the one to ask, being that he has welded stands for other MFK members. My gut reaction is that 1/8" would work, depending on your bracing. Our monster stand is 3/16" thick, 3 1/2" tubular steel, and so solid you could drive a truck on it.
