Caught 1 crappie, 5 rockbass, 21 channels, 1 longear, 1 smallie, 1 ky bass and 1 bluegill tonight at the creek. I kept all the rockbass, crappie and longear. I didnt get to my hole tonight because I found the rockbass and wanted to get as many as I could before the rains get here. :)

awesome, can't wait to see pics :) are you using nets, barbless hooks, or what to catch these? im also curious about what you do if a fish swallows the hook and you want it for an aquarium, as we all know that can be fatal...

Sure is, even easier is the creek I will be in. I saw one today that went 2-3lbs but he wasnt havin it. :)

If you can see them, they can see you. Do you fly fish at all? River smallies on the fly is heart pounding.

Usually I cut the line and toss back, but last night I kept a Crappie that had it deep, hoping it passes it. I had a bullhead that passed a treble hook somehow and he survived. I try to use larger hooks so they cant swallow it but that isnt always the case :)

This bass blows a kelberi away IMO :)

Friend posted this on FB today

What kind of bass is that? I've never seen anything like that...

Going back to Stonelick today to try my luck again at the big smallie I lost last week. Then going to try fo sauger again and then tonight we may hit the Great Miami River for some flatheads. We usually catch them between 8 and 20". I want one for my tank between those sizes. :)
