sturgeon is anadromus and so not a real freshwater fish. Since the wels catfish gets much longer and heavier than the Arapaima, the pima is out of the race as well.
Well the world record white sturgeon is under 500 lbs anyway. The pima only reaches an estimated 300 lbs, the wels only reaches around 250. Largest Mekong giant catfish tipped the scales at 646 lbs, while the largest freshwater stingray weighed in at 772 lbs.

It depends if you measure size or weight. With weight it is clearly the mekong catfish
But by now Beluga Sturgeon are being kept in freshwater by fisheries.. Meaning they would count as freshwater. So in 20 years, when these sturgeon have grown bigger, this discussion will hopefully be history!
I know of a white sturgeon(they grow smaller than belugas) in Austria which is 10' 5". Thats already the size of a record pima.
