There is probably a pima that no one has seen yet. Considering indeterminate growth and the fact that so little of the Amazon is inhabited. I think there is a better chance of a mamoth pima than any of those other fish

but they are not fresh water fish! none of the sturgeon known for living in pure fresh water get really big!

The lake baikal A. Baeri grow to some 7-8 feet ;) And as I said, sturgeon are kept in full fw by fisheries.

Like your thoughts.... But with that thought you've left out a Monster Cat that would probably easily out grow a pima bro - the Piraiba catfish... I'm sure there are some Monsters out there...

7-8ft is about 200-250lbs, still far from what we call a huge sturgeon!
 
i say sturgeon and the wels catfish are the biggest. i think theres another catfish that gets larger then the wels catfish
