I have been working with Crenicichla celidochilus for some time now and my pair seems to be making some progress in terms of bonding. This video was taken 10 days ago and is nearly 4 minutes long and captures what I think is courting behavior. Enjoy a nice glimpse of these beautiful Uruguayan pikes.

Awesome! Very cool.
I've never heard of this particular species, but uruguayan pikes are so diverse and hardly researched, you just can't know them all :D

I'm no expert but from the info I've gathered from Ed Burress and Vin Kutty I'd say you need more hiding spaces. Big rocks and more pvc pipe so that they can hide from you if they want. I have 4 currently and its really helped my pair bond, the pair attack the other two and not each other.

Good Luck with them!!! It'd be nice to have more people breed these guys
