Wow nice tank! The live plants look awesome in there.
I think I just found my inspiration for using live plants in all of my tanks :)
Nice stock and good job!

Wow that tank is beautiful! I love the driftwood, especially with all those plants growing on it. Also, what is that plant you are using in the foreground, with the straightish stalks and small leaves growing around it? It's growing in front of your driftwood and there's a patch on the right side of the tank. I've seen that plant growing in a few tanks at this lfs, and I really like it for a foreground plant. How hardy is it? I'm surprised that those fish don't uproot the plants.

It is called Didiplis diandra, I really love the cross shape the leaves are arranged as. Supposedly it can get red tops when the conditions are right. Still working that out.

do you find any issues with your fish uprooting stem plants when swimming through them?
I'm currently having issues with getting my stem plants to root well and not flow tup when my blood parrot swims into them

Well there are certain places in the tank where I have a hard time putting plants. The datnoid has claimed under the manzanita its domain and I have seen him look at a plant, put it in his mouth, swim a quick burst then spit it out. The peacock hovers mid level most of the day. Only issue with the pcock is a small spot on the right where he sleeps at night. I think his big tail knocks any plants free in that corner. They chase each other around daily and don't rip too much out.

So basically my fish tell me where they let me put plants. I got them when they were only 2-3 inches and they are fully used to my hands/arms in the tank. I can pet the pcock. Perhaps having it planted from the begining has something to do with their allowing of plants. I am replanting 2-3x per week but only a stem here and there.

Yesterday I recieved a huge plant package that I got from a member on Plantedtank. I spent 8 plus hours planting and rearranging the tank. Lots of reds now. Cheers.

It's a lot of acreage, but you're filling it nicely! I like the moss and windelov on driftwood. Going for a similar look in my 180 g once I can find the right DW pieces.
