where EVERY things LEGAL :)
I am in Peoria, Washington, and will be in Chicago this weekend. Looking for any fish stores worth stopping by and checking out. Local members let me know what you guys have out this way. Thanks in advance

If you're in the city Old Towne Aquarium is nice, overpriced but nice to visit. If you're in the south suburbs Animal Island is neat, its not much to look at but has a great selection. Living seas is also a good one.

thax, anybody else ?? ray777 you got any advice given you live in Chicago ?

If you are going to have time to enjoy the city awhile then buying a CityPASS is worth it - http://www.citypass.com/chicago

I will second Living Seas and Old Towne Aquarium. I haven't been up there for almost a year, but Chicago Aquarium in Andersonville is good, Ocean Design is ok, good for saltwater, good for equipment, ok for freshwater fish (http://oceandesignaquarium.com/). I've been wanting to check out Blue Magic Tropical Fish but I haven't yet, maybe this summer when I go home for a bit I'll get to it.

I was just informed that since I had last visited that Chicago Aquarium may have taken a dump and is probably not worth going to now, I don't know, just beware...

Living seas is still around? they use to be one of my favorite to visit as a teen. shedd discout days next week!

Last I was at the shed it was great, but again over a year ago. As for aquariums the suburbs have lost most of the notable ones in the recession and the two small ones near were I live are nothing worth going out of your way to see.

my parents live out this way so I already have an iPass ;)

thanks for all the help guys, if there are any of you others out there that have suggestions please chime in.
