Thats pretty sweet, I just looked up some markets near me, can't wait to visit them tomorrow

I've seen tanks full of monster large mouth bass, barrumundi, king crab (3 feet diametre), trout, bowfins, carp, striped bass etc. Very common in asain markets. I've evin seen a giant channel catfish around 4 feet long in a tank!! LOL
My asian fish mart sell some cool fish. Occasionally they have some love rare fish.

i get crawfish for $0.15 at my local grocery store. big one are kept as pets while the little ones are eaten
I accidentally bought a nile tilapia when it was only a 1cm big. It grew to 12inches and turned a bit nasty to my other fish. Plus, the fish eats ANY food that hits the water making it really hard to gt food to other fish. It is genetically predisposed to eat, eat and eat some more. I loved my fish and was super sad when I had to give it away but I don't think I'll get another one too soon. I don't recommend it as a pet unless you are going to keep it alone in a tank. It even went after my 13 inch redtail x shoevelnose who was just minding his own business.

Yep yep...I bought a live lobster to cycle one my first salt tanks back in the day.

lol only on MFK! .. ive bought oddballs out of the feeder tanks, good place to get natives. always wanted to check out the markets in chicago, heard they are good.
