looks great but arrangment of rocks of the earlier setup was betterIMO.:)

Awesome tank! Love your aquascaping!

Awesome tank and aquascaping. One question I have is about your lighting. You mentioned you are using a 48" freshwater bright Beamswork. Am I correct that you are just using one fixture? Also, do the pictures represent the actual lighting in the tank or is the tank darker/lighter? It seems the LEDs light up the middle pretty well, but leave the edges pretty dark (which was probably your goal). How are you satisfied with the light overall.

Sorry for all the question, but I am thinking about making the switch to LED for my new 125g african cichlid tank. Any input would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond, I haven't been on here in a while. You are correct, the lighting is just a single 48" Beamswork "freshwater bright" fixture. I think the pictures represent the actual light pretty closely. Since it is a 135gal (72" long) there is a foot on each side that the fixture does not cover. I prefer a more subtle lighting effect so I have been really happy with this setup. Depending on how brightly lite you want your tank, you may want to go with two 3ft fixtures, or look into the brighter "double bright reef capable" fixtures.

Thought I would just update this thread instead of making a new one... I added a new piece of driftwood yesterday and wanted some opinions. I wasn't really digging it yesterday but it's slowly growing on me. What do you all think?

Looking good man, I think it's the perfect piece to fill in that empty spot in the middle. To me it seems like both pieces are one, still alive, and branching out. Great job!

How about some fish pics :)

Thanks guys! Mr. Rain, I'll work on getting some pics of the fish but I'm not making any promises... None of them stay still for long!

Thought I would update this thread as quite a bit has changed...

Here's an up to date FTS.

Current stock:
1x V. argentea
2x (pair) T. meeki
2x (pair) A. multispinosa
4x (1m - 3f) H. nicaraguensis -- I finally got my male to pair off with one of the females so I will be removing at least one of the unpaired females soon.
8x C. sajica -- Just got these guys not to long ago after looking for some forever. They are still very young (~1in) but once a pair forms I will remove the extras.
1x Bristlenose Pleco

I have had successful spawns from both the meeki and multispinosa, however the fry don't usually last more than a week since I leave them in the community. My pair of nics spawned this past weekend for the first time and are currently guarding wigglers (far right corner in the FTS).

Thanks or looking!:)
