I actually way prefer the Daniel Craig bond movies over Brosnan... I'll admit that I was never a die-hard bond fan to begin with, but I felt like the Craig-series has brought Bond within the realm of possibility. He still has some gadgets, just a little more realistic... And the girls, I dunno what movies you've seen, but the Bond girls are definitely still there.
I agree with you Maddmaxx, Daniel Craig brings a more realistic bond up to the table with his acting. I like how he actually gets roughed up and bloody from all the brawls he gets in. Prior to that he used to fight 5 people at once and not have one wrinkle in his suit afterwards...wtf is up with that?? With the exception of Sean Connery i think he is the best one.
Craig plays a nice tough guy buy he just does not seem to fit as Bond

I can see where you're coming from Krich, if you compare Craig to the standard "Bond mold"... Craig lacks some of the sauve and replaces it with blunt-force. But like I said, I wasn't a real Bond fan before, partly due to the wildly unrealistic stunts/gadgets (I understand that to some that was the whole appeal, but for me I just couldn't get behind it), so I actually appreciate them breaking the "mold" ...
He is horrendous. He doesnt look the part, doesnt act the part, and no, there isnt bond gadgets. It might have attracted you more so to it, but it drove away many hard core fans such as myself. Consider the video game series going back the entire way to the first one. Think about whats in those games, now remove all the gadgets and such. The franchise would have never survived through this many "Bond"s or this many years. The gadgets and corny catch phrases made the franchise, the lack of them will kill it.

i actually like the new bond too. much more brutal and and physical. i mean, he's still gets the girls so that's still there.
I grew up on Bond movies and was introduced to them by my grandmother of all people as she would watch the movies when they came on on the only television in the house back then.No big shock that her all time favorite was Sean Connery,fast forward to Craig's first try at Bond and I took her to the movies to see Casino Royale and all through the film she kept commenting on how mean and brutal he was.
