Congrats on a nice build, looking really good! I'm sure the fish are enjoying the new footprint :)

Thanks for the info and help three the epoxy stage buddy.
The footprint is really cool, I sold all my pbass and decided to put a few rays and geophagus in there. Im waiting for the last 3 fish to get picked up then ill throw the new stock in the tank!

So I have a question for you...it seems like you made this build with minimal braceing. Is it bowing alot? if not, how did you prevent this? How thick is your wood (almost looks like particle board)? Did you use any liquid nails between the joints when you screwed them together? Final cost of tank build only? My appologies if you have answered these ?'s earlier...

It is not particle board. It's 3/4 marine grade plywood. There is absolutely ZERO flex, bow, bend or anything in the tank at all (I am very pleased with) .
As for the joints I just used waterproof wood glue, then the 3x layers of mesh tape with poly resin or "fiberglassed" the corners witch would have atleast tripled the tinsel strength.
As for the bracing there is none on the outside of the tank but it isn't needed in my eyes, the tank is only 30in tall and if you look at my top "euro" bracing it is 6inch wide by 1 inch thick all the way around the top so it wont allow any movement.
The tank is doing great. I'll be putting 6 geophagus altifrons in tomorrow evening and the rays will follow in about a week, im just waiting to see how they act towards the pool filter sand I have placed in the QT tank. Watching for signs of irritation on the belly

nice decor. very natural looking.

Thanks. It still isn't quite finished inside the tank. Ill figure something else out sooner or later. I think.id like more tall plants along the back wall and some scattered river rock in the sand all along the footprint
