And last night this guy shows up...I wasn't home but my mom showed me these this morning. I guess he climbed the front wall of the shed and snuck in a hole somewhere to eat the babies in the nest. And then he got down and slithered away. Here's some get-away shots. Anyone know what it is?

I thought so. I guess my mom ran screaming into the house and is still shaky about going outside. lol. My dad's old neighbors were visiting and his girlfriend took the photos.
 
My mom was told it was a Bull snake. Any opinions there? I'll check the Western Fox on Google. But if its what we locals call a pine snake, I want to say that's not it. They have red bellies.

Well after a quick google search, I am starting to suspect that someone mislabeled the red-bellied snake from my youth.... It certainly looks like a Western Fox. Thanks guys! Does anyone know if bull snake is one of the common names for that species? I couldn't find anything in my quick search. I'll keep looking though.

Right on the money. I have the eastern sp. In my neck of the woods. Absolutely beautiful snakes. I had a large one like this break into our garage once to get at hatchling pheasants.
