I want a 40 breeder too and maybe a 20 for a QT. Bout time I got me one of those...

The 40g is a nice sized tank because of the footprint, 40g emphasizes length and width, where 55g goes for hight and length, making it look more like a show tank, and less comfortable then say, a pair of jack dempseys in a 40g breeder

I picked up a 40 Breeder, after all. FYI an 18 gallon Sterlite top (to one of the tubs) fits perfectly in the lip of a 40B. Mind you, it only covers 70% but I need space for the filters, anyway, and the other space I can cover with some other material I have. I'm still going to make a tough mesh top for it but for now, that'll do.

Eggcrate makes great mesh tops. I have Eggcrate tops on 6 of my tanks
