Please help MY Festae is a giant wimp.

put him to sleep. He's a disgrace to all cichlids.
 
So putting him to sleep might be the dumbest idea i've heard. I'd rather take him to my lfs and get some credit then take his life. He is still a great looking fish regardless of his temperament.

Sounds like he needs an area to call his own.. setup additional caves for him to protect. Redo the whole tank.. change things around.

comon you should know that's not real talk. No one would do that.
 
Some festae when small are timid. They are aggressive against their own kind for sure. I have a wild male right now around 7" that is like that but I also have a 12-13" male that is like king kong in his tank. The 7" male is with 3 females around the same size and he's starting to flare up and show some dominance for once, give yours some time. Owning festae takes patience of all kinds...if your looking for attitude and aggression then maybe they are not for you.

I would suggest red tiger motaguense those fish are down right nasty, they are red and beautiful
