300 Gallon Update w/ background removed

Now that's a true fishkeeper. Rips out an expensive 3D background to give the cichla more room.

You know it. They needed more room and now they definitely have it.

The air is two 8inch air stones back to back along the left side wall powered by an alita al-40. The air bursts through the water at the top of the tank. It is an awesome air pump. Definite overkill but they love it and it lifts every piece of poop off the bOttom. I love it

Super clean! What filtration are you running?

Thanks man. 2 eheim 2260 and a 55 gallon wet dry with mag 12. Also run a UV sterilizer and the alita air pump lifts everything off the ground making the filters more efficient

I loved the old background and will definitely rebuild it in the future but for now it had to go. I actually see all my fish all the time now. No more hiding underneath the background. I'm very happy with the decision
