crickets considered to be fatty foods?

Cool, sounds like I need a cricket container and to shave up some organic carrots...

i would assume most of the people on this forum have an extra 10 gallon tank lying around. you could always breed them if you don't mind the churping.

Why buy crickets when u can go outside and catch grass hoppers for free. My aro's go coo coo for hoppers.

I buy 20-30 crickets feed them the carrots and then throw them in the tank to be eaten. Don't keep crickets for daily feedings, just once or twice a week.

Fertilyzers, pesticides and parasites, all of which can he toxic to your fish

I agree 100% but where I collect there is no ferts or pesticides used, as far a parasites I have never had a problem. but if you can show me a link as to what parasites they could have I might rethink.

What if the house down from u fertylizes their lawn and a cricket u catch ate from that area??! Just saying I don't want other members to get unlucky, maybe if you live in a rural country area it would be fine, I just know because the same applies to earthworms.

Any insect can inhibit parasites, some may not at all be harmful, idk, id be more concerned with the ferts
