Monsters (Arapaima gigas) Grow Out & info Thread

sorry...has been awhile huh..
Yeah the pima is doing kick *** and growing like a weed.. %100 Pellet trained now as well. I have moved him into a 260gal with some other growouts of mine (Azul, Orino, Tem Peacock Bass, a few Nile perch and a couple others) He enjoys the bigger tank and tank mates... He still is consistently swimming & moving and hard to get good photos of but I'll make it a mission to get a few this week and post here.
Congratz! He's a great looking guy. An I know he's in good hands. I miss having one....unfortunately it passed. Don't know if it was avoidable but if theres one thing I learned bout these guys is, they love to jump. Congratz again on a true Monster fish.

Right now there is very lil real info out there from people that have kept these or are keeping them in our hobby. So I seen a need to at least document my findings and experiences with the Arapaima and try to answer a lot of the questions I couldn't find the answers too during my research.
Well here is your answer in a nutshell, Space,space for the fish to swim ,considering what ive read about your feeding routine and water maintenance, there is not much else to worry about, Very lucky pima indeed.
