Fh Food?

What size of FH do you have, which NLS formula are you feeding, and for how long?

NLS is a very hard, dense food, and most fish in that size range will take some time to get used to eating it, vs softer foods that have higher starch content & soften up quickly in the water. What you are most likely seeing is from excessive chewing, it shouldn't be long and there will be less chewing, and more swallowing taking place. When your fish gets a bit more size to it, he will start pounding back those 3mm pellets like a fat kid eating M&M's. :)

I see what your saying the less he chews and if he gulps it then it makes less of a mess and leaves less food particles.

I say genetics.

If the fish is crap quality to begin with, no amount of quality fish food will turn it into a masterpiece.

Awesome looking fish Calihawk.
