Hey guys, I just got back from my local fishing trip with:
an 8 inch yellow perch
a 1.5 inch largemouth bass
a 7 inch sunfish of some sort.
I was wondering if they can life with my three 5 inch bichirs and two mature angelfish peacefully in my 75 gallon tank. Of course the LMB can't live there for life but can the perch and sunfish?? I have a few questions:
1. The temperature is set to 27 degrees but right now, i turned my heater off since it's a hot summer. Can the "coldwater" fish survive?? i've seen LMBs with arowanas in some huge tanks. What's a safe temp for the native fish AND the bichirs??
2. Will the native fish harass my bichirs??
3. What do they eat??
4. Has one of you guys kept these fish with tropical fish specificly with bichirs?
5. Are they huge pooping machines.
6. Any health or disease hazards? (from hotter water at high 70s etc)
7. Are they hard to keep alive??
8. can all of them (except the bass) live in the 75 gal for life?
If these fish are too hard to handle, I'll just release them where I got them them. They are swimming fine right now.
