I am shopping around for 125 to 150 gallon fishtank for a freshwater setup and have a couple questions.
I have no clue on what size filters or pump I need also I have been shopping around on craigs list and I see some say predrilled and npt predrilled. Do I need a predrilled tank.

pre drilled is only if your planning on using a sump filtration.if your a newbie i would read many of the stickies at the top of this and other sections.for a tank that size you can use 2 canisters,or 1 plus a larger HOB.what fish do you plan to keep? i would say plan to turn over the water 8-10 times per hour with the filtration you choose

If you plan to keep bass and gar you will need a tank with 24" width. That guy above covered everything you needed to know. Try to get the tank as new as possible so there is less chance of it failing.

Ok I bought a 125 gallon with stand and canopy for $300 then I found a Fluval FX5 on Craigs List for $140. I had to make a tank devider so I can keep my baby Peacock bass away from my gar and TSN. I went to the gutter section at lowes and found some plastic sheets that work perfect. I cut them and tied them together with fishing line
