Its really basic economics tho...
U ban guns thus eliminating the supply, however, there will still be demand (from criminals) which increases the price of these guns, which then increases the amount of guns smuggled into the country as people will be more willing to illegally smuggle weapons into the country because of the much higher payout. Its really a catch 22.

You're trying to blame a human emotion driven tragedy on a piece of machinery, and you're the sane one? Haha. You might need to brush up on American history, too. The second amendment was written for that reason. Here is a quote by the great Thomas Jefferson :

the 2nd ammend. was written in the 18th century ...when wars wre fought with guns ,take on the govt now and your the bug up against the winshield .no matter what jefferson said it doesnt apply now ,he didnt envision smart bombs ,laser guided weapons and tanks or planes, gonna shoot down that f-16 wih your shotgun ..good luck.

If the government uses tanks and bombs on its own people then all hell has already broken loose. You can say the same thing about Syria then, the people should just give up, they'll never win. Half the Syrian Army already defected. It's only a matter of time before the people you think should just surrender, win. You think if Uncle Sam uses tanks that the entire military will be ok with it?

If the Syrian population was armed like the US, the government of Syria would be have been defeated last year.

YOU REALLY WANT TO GO THERE ....I wasnt the 1 who said there would be a revolution ,it would last about 10 minutes ,untill SWAT shows up at the door.ps syria is divided ...even the govt.-military ,and they are fighting against thousand year old RELIGIOUS tyranny ..a real good motive ,the fat slobs in this countrry get winded walking down the street cause they cant stop eatin twinkies ..hardly the revolutionary type

Let me also say that my car was stolen from my driveway in a gated community this April. Crime is on the rise. You'd have to be blind or dumb not to notice and the minute a burglar with a black market 9mm breaks into your house you're going to wish you had nvr voted to ban guns.

Banning guns takes guns from the law abiding consumer. The people you want to have guns in order for protection. It does not take them from criminals and crazies. If they want it bad enough they'll get it.
