Where can I buy the Cheapest(acceptable) fish foods?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You have an 18" arowana in a 55g tank? You obviously don't care about the quality of space you provide for your fish. So why give a crap about the food you feed. Just go to walmart and buy some wardley tropical fish food, or some cheap cat food and even hot dogs will work.

An arowana requires a tank minimum 3x it's length long and at least it's length wide. Within a couple months the aro is going to be 24" long and should be in at least a 6x2x2' 180g tank. Right now it ought to be in a 60x18" tank not a 55g.

Well ignoring the comments that are not worth my time to read, especially ones criticizing my tank sizes thank you for those who answered my my question! I am still taking more info. If you got any websites let me know!

As fish grow they release hormones when these hormones are released the fill the water and when a tank is that small the tank fills up fast with hormones and all the fish stop growing. So you're fish have been stunted or just aren't growing because they have no where to grow. I doubt an arowana could even get to 18" in a 55 pics? I feel as if it's an 8" stunted aro. You need to get rid of the arowana unless you can get a 210 immediately! Your fish will soon all be stunted.

Ignoring comments that arent worth reading that are ACTUALLY the problem? They aren't growing because the small tank size is stunting them. Doesn't matter what you feed them anymore because they'll never grow much anymore because of the stunting they have gone through.

People come one this isn't how u pro actively help someone. Your ALL coming off like a holes, maybe if you all stop slamming him with the same exact thing she will listen to you, op already has plans for a bigger tank but not atm so let's be proactive and provide some good ideas.

Op hardware stores often have big rubbermaid tubes 40 gallons or so, you can always split some of them up or even give some away for the time being. Also in ur 55 make sure there is no decor, he will need all the tank space, also a 50% wc 2x per week is needed. You can also buy a kiddie pool and use that or even a pond. Just realise the more fish the more wc are needed.

As for food you can order bulk online, omega one is great, better off feeding them quality food instead of a bunch of crap, u will achieve better results with quality not quantity.

I will say ur priority should be new tanks ASAP, soon ur aro won't be able to turn around!

THANK YOU. FINALLY There is a mature one. But One thing, Though My name is Jesse I am Male Thank you very much =_=''
Jesse - generally is Male.
Jessie - Is female.

As for The larger Tank, I made a mistake. I just measured it because im trying to make a DIY Sump its actually 90 not 75. Yes, I know still too small. But as for a temporary for 3 months I will take it. I am a college Student, not a full time working class citizen. As of now i have no job. I am looking and will invest in a larger tank. If any of you guys have a 200+ canopy/tank/stand combo for under 700 I'll possibly consider. But as of now, I am doing my best to make things work. I came here for help, not to be criticized. Thank you again F1 VET, atleast you are another that makes me feel welcome.
