Leaving for Peru. Fish collecting trip

Hi all,

My husband and I are headed to Peru on a fish collecting trip. We are spending most of our time on the Rio Nanay. Any tips for collecting/rod fishing down there?

Yes we are. All import/export permits are in place.

Do you have a seine net? That would be great for smaller fish, possible a small cast net too. This site might help if you guys plan to fish for the big stuff...

Yep, seine nets are on the riverboat. We have 'smaller' hand nets that are about 18"x22". We also have collapsable rods with 12 lb line.
