yeah teacup is just in reference to size. And retics actually get fairly long so a 125 is not enough imo
I have don't lots of research and have found that most people say 125 would work for a retic.
Tea cup means retic stingray it's just not a Lfs term.
and those people would be idiots so please dont listen to them.
as far as the term "tea cup" that is a term that i wish would end.
its a term any lfs will use to describe a small ray...7 times out of ten is a retic..
but i have seem hystrix, motoro and humerosa's labeled the same.
a 125 is an ok tank for a retic for year to year and a half..give or take..but cannot live it in for life..
most will say you need a 3' deep tank...i think 30" is fine for a retic..but thats just my opinion.
i wouldnt buy a retic..because they do die easier them most rays due to care before they even hit the LFS.
my advice : but a captive bred motoro from a member here..but only after you know you can get a 300+ tank in the next year.
