Injured pleco fin

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Wow, looks like an old injury. It might be the angle buy his head/mouth looks deformed too.

Yea, your right. I just looked at his face and it's definitely deformed. I don't know much about him, but I do know he was in a 29 gallon with a 12" black fin shark catfish and a 5.5" pictus catfish. I bought the 29 gallon off of CL and the fish came with it. Right now I have them all in a 75 gallon with the rest of my cichlids and I feel like that still isn't enough room, so I will be looking to rehome all these guys. Gonna take some time I'm sure.

I guess it could have either been born that way or maybe it was in a tank way to small for way to long. No way to know for sure I guess. I say keep him and keep him fat and happy :)

Well I guess the pleco is staying. My girlfriend isn't into fish like me, but if she says it's staying, it's staying lol. When I told her I was getting rid of it, she told me its the only fish she likes. So yea, I guess I'll keep him fat and happy.

Yes, he has lived in a 29 gallon until now and the tank was discusting! Took me a little over an hour to clean it. I take pride in keeping my tanks clean. Don't understand how some people just let things get so out of hand. 😡
