Mr Fishy I am sorry, I think people forget that they all started somewhere and sometimes you can read, research, and self teach but experience and experiencing is a whole new ball game. I have been keeping fish since I was 13 years old I am now 37, I have had my own share of stupid things I did things I wished I did differently. So keep your head up and for every mistake you make learn from it. And I dont believe for one bit that all the people on this forum have not lost any fish at all I call B.S.

View attachment 812456 Heres over 600 in a 75 gal?
To say I havent lost fish would be a lie, YES. Matter of fact, my first peacock bass i owned I put in with a jack dempsey who bit him in half. Lesson learned, move the jack! But this is about the amount of fish in such a short time and the lack of attention he is paying. Heres the point right here ... ready for this Mr. Fishy and all the other people who again, have not followed NOR tried to help in any way. Months ago, this kid was killing peacock bass left and right (i still doubt all 7 are alive), and we were discussing his water and what was going on. His nitrates we're spiking like crazy and he couldnt figure it out. I told him, ask your mom what kind of water you use AS IM A FLORIDA RESIDENT MYSELF and know that much of our water is well water, and he ignored me not only in regards to finding out his water type at the time, but also investing in a different nitrate test as the strips he was using were notrious for incorrect reads. He continued to kill bass and so on. I told him the problem was most likely his water source, and look at it ... it is. Fishy you cant just dump the well water in and think you're okay since its coming straight out of a hole. The water is actually much more dirty! There is a reason why the outskirts of town use it, and not the more civilized areas.Mr Fishy I am sorry, I think people forget that they all started somewhere and sometimes you can read, research, and self teach but experience and experiencing is a whole new ball game. And again, 2-3 months ago you said "ill have my new tank in 2-3 months", well you still dont, and you had 3 bass in one 20 gal tank.
Again, point being here he doesnt pay attention, talks about his "countless hours of research" yet it is not shown in his success rate with these fish. I have owned plenty of fish, for plenty of years, however I did not invest in peacock bass until i was confident in my fish keeping abilities, my equiptment, and my funds to support such a demanding fish.
Part of whats wrong with this whole topic is that people are being so nice and encouraging that you dont think it was anything you did wrong. Youve killed far too many of these things for it to have been a freak accident. If this was a solitary case it'd be "hey, tough luck, move on". This is a case of a young and not fully expierenced fish keeper, who clearly has lack of funds for such a fish.
Mr Fishy, keep on keeping on with fish, but god damn stop killing these bass.
PS - provide a pic of all 7 in one frame, I'd love to see them all alive since they easily have to be 6 inches now, as I know mine are beyond that, and we purchased them at the same time.
Sorry hear that bro. Not a good way to start your week. Dont get discouraged though these things bad as they are happen from time to time.
