Do your Bichirs dig?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
my old hybrid used to dig himself up to his eyes

Hahah I noticed my 3" Endli have a go at digging for the first time this morning.... Kinda cool the way he was trying to bury his head...

Try sandblast supply store... They have sand which can be used for aquaria... Comes in diff colors... And way too inexpensive....

How finely grained is it? Because my Eartheaters spend all their time sifting sand through their gills.

You get various sizes... Very very fine to coarse fine... Although wouldn't suggest very fine sand as they are not advised cause they become hard I think don't know much.... But I am sure you could get something for ur geo's... What I have is expensive IMO $45 for a 50kg sack... But had no choice cause couldn't find black sand and the one I got was red garnet sand... Looks nice on my Polys :) check ehm out...

Lol,never thought somebody has a problem with having plants cause most of the tanks I saw were fully covered with plants, bog and driftwoods.
I really admire those tanks, wish I can have one of those someday.
Well,I should be thankful too.
Maybe you can try adding some moss to the bog or driftwoods,it really makes your tank stand out even if you have a bare tank and it would crawl to the other woods if you put em close together. :)

The only real digging mine will do is rooting around with it's head in the sand, but I think she's just looking for worms and such. She never actually buries herself, although sens aren't known for it...
