Hello. Tommrow I will def be hitting up the fish store as it has it's sale.
I have the choice of getting the 4 choices:
A.) Elephant Nose $20 40 percent off makes it $12 which is a steal
B.) Black Ghost Knife $18 40 percent off makes it $8'' at 3'' another good deal!
C.) Redhook silverdollar, but I'm thinking blah! another silverdollar, I really only love Myleus Schomburgkii, but it would be killer deal $8 for 6'' redhook
D.) Blood parrot but then I am thinking blah! Man made garabage. So it will most likely be between A AND B depending on what's left,
usually with my luck the fish I want are gone.
Now my question is if I go with the elephant nose, are they really diffucult? I've never kept one personality, but my friends have and I think they are cute. I keep my ph at around 7.2-7.5. His tankmates will be a uaru, chocolate, myleus schomburgkii, leopard ctenpoma, clown loaches, red rainbow fish, and various med sized catfish. He will be in a 75 gallon temporary. But in the next Month 125 gallon. Anything I need to know about them. I will feed bloodworms, tilipia, shrimp, etc.
Black ghost knife refer to above info as well.
Which would you choose? And which is the best choice?

I got the elephant nose. He is pretty sweet. Eats right out of my hand. Bloodworms and mysis shrimp.
My ? is can I get him a 2nd one or not?
Here he is now at 3''.

Elephant noses do fine in groups. You'll have to feed them at least once a day to keep them healthy though, ideally they'd have constant access to food.
