it is up there in my list of fish. i moved the discus pair out to a 20gal. i think the vatf was just to excitable. they have the largest case of a.d.d. of any fish i have ever owned. any reflection of any kind of light or lazer and it is one it! all ready if i am on the couch looking at it and it is hungry, if i get up for anything it starts to rapidly pace the tank. waiting for me to drop some food in. my gars all wait in the feeding corner, dat catfish, bowfin, bichirs all the same. this vatf creates just about a whirlpool from the back and forth at mach 6. awesome fish to own for sure!!

So I think I have said it b4... only a VATF owner knows Lol. How you think I felt w/a 16"+ Vittatus spalshing through my tank b4 I had to let him go? My old guy would stalk the face of the tank and when he seen me, he would show off n pace the tank like a dog, asking for food. If I did not feed, he would sprint off and hit a u turn at a slow pace... as to attract attention.
As he gets bigger you will see GATF are WEAK. Obviously not jaws-wise Lol. Everything else category, VATF tops Goliath IMO by far. If I had a school of ATF, Goliath is a must but not the Show piece.

i think one of the coolest things is how they can be going mach 6 then stop dead on a dime, do a fin twitch then gone like a flash to the other side. i can't wait till it gets bigger and i have it in my pond/tank!
if i do another school of atf i think i will just do a massive school of vatf. gatf just lack colors i need to combat my own a.d.d.
