My wife have an agreement, I keep my tank, she get a pet. now I have a 240g, and she has a cat and a mouse, plus the 2 dogs we already had. Less of a fishkeeping house and more of a petting zoo...
Nope not yet because we dont live together, but next year I will be moving in with the girlfriend into an apartment near our university. So lets see how she turns out when I start bringing in the monster tanks 
How I keep her from interfering with my hobby is by letting her go shopping and let her pick out some fish. The last time she picked two fish they were blood parrots

Sister, when a guy says "you can't" and/or "you can" HAVE or DO something, that's a high-flying red flag about his whole relational stance. but the "and be happy with that" is way over the top. He's telling you how to feel!
You better get the absence of shackles & home barricades settled before you walk down the aisle. Bcuz his "little quirk" will magnify x100 afterwards. and it will go far beyond tanks.

He's my biggest supporter! Now I have to figure out how to rein-in his desire to feed them :-/
The baby oscar worked magic, and hubby is totally addicted to tossing in crickets. he did it before I woke up the other day (I saw traces). He keeps the cricket bin supplied.
My geo fry were eaten. It disturbed him so much he wants me to setup a special grow-out tank.

ahaha awesome...yeah my only problem with my fiance now is slowing down his obsession for the hobby..it took me a year to get out first tank in the room..now at 3 years we have almost 300 gallons in our bed room...he wants to upgrade my 65 to a 90...omg i love this man ^_^
Lol no mine wants a bigger tank, she just doesn't get how much large tanks cost

My wife loves the hobby. She feels bad I can't set my 150 up cuz we don't have the room right now. But she said once we get a bigger place she's all for buying a 180+ gallon brand new
