Pics of My New Worlds

Thanks for the compliments. Red isletas have a 180gal to themselves and festae are alone in a 6' 125 gal tank.

Isletas have approx. 200 3/4" fry in the tank with them. Festae have not had a successful spawn. I've tried almost everything and am open to suggestions.

Will you be selling any fry? If so, do you ship? I am very intrigued by these Red Isletas. I have never seen them before.
Edit-----I should do research before I post. It's a Midas, right?

Red Isletas are different species from citrinellus (midas cichlids). They are both from the same genus: Amphilophus. They are very similar in attitude, size, etc. Correct me if I'm wrong, but they get their name from their eyes. The back third of the iris is red, middle black, and the front third is white. They are probably tough to distinguish from citrinellus if you haven't seen them before.

I will be selling fry, but don't want to break any forum rules and will create a second post for the sale of the fry. Shipping will be available.
