Howto catch baby bass?

There r little 1.5-2" LMB in the shallows at the lake I fish at and I was wondering how to catch one I was told a barbless hook and worms but r there Any other options?

so easy, i used to do this all the time when i was a kid. take really light clear 2lb test line and attach a fly similar to your native bug population. (check google) and you will pull you more than you want.just keep pulling it in. never let it sit

type in the nearest city or county to where your going fishing and then go buy the fly

It's about 2 or 3 feet from shore would a cast net work? This is what I have to use 1xcast net 1xnet 2xpoles one with 8lbs test the other with 12lbs test and maybe a minnow trap depending on price ifthem and pryme time I don't know where to get flies without having to spend 10$ all the stores here r overpriced
