I was curious to knowing what iind of peacock bass i had. These are the only pictures i have of him he got beat up by my red devil and buttakofri so those are bit marks on his head he is extremly aggessive, these pics are a year old he is healed up and is living in my pond for the summer with a large mouth bass and ironicly the rd and butta, but they stay in seperate cornes while the peacock swims around freely with the koi. I dont have any pics of him healed i think he is close to 16inches now im not sure ill measure him at the end of summer. If you could tell me it would be great!

Thanks man, all the different names confuse me somtimes, i hope in the future i can get a big 600 gallon and have some nice size peacocks but for now ill have to stick with just him

"Just him" is going to need a 600 gallon tank in the near future, lol. These guys are the largest growing cichla, and from what I have seen, largest cichlid. He will get huge.

im not keeping him in my fish tank for much longer he is going to stay in a 500 gallon indoor pond n the winter and in the summer he will stay in my 4,00gallon koi pond

A HOT LOOKING TEM, and that Mike Tyson face tattoo is sweet:)
Is that not common with this species? sorry i just boguth him when he was 7inches and him and my other peacock bass had that tattoo thing lol, i got rid of the other one i liked this one way more, i throw worms to him in the pond and he will jump out of the water to get it soon as it hits the water he is pretty cool

Sweet looking Tem, how big are your Koi? I can see this guy devouring some juvies in no time.
The koi are my dads and he has had them for close to 14years i think a few are even older than that, but one is easily over 20lbs the rest are bigger than peacock bass we have blue gill that breed in theyre so im sure him and my large mouth eat the babies
