A 55 gallon with the inhabitant of squirtle's avatar, 55 gallon optional - N

omigosh, too many ideas to write down. But keeping in semi-reality, enough tanks for me to have all of the setups I have ever dreamed of, which would be thousands, both large and small. Plus a bunch of additional tanks to set up any new ideas.

Also, I want to make exact copies of sections of the Amazon and stick them in fish tanks so I have a bunch of Amazon biotopes....scratch that, do that with every body of water that has fish, not just the Amazon, but the Amazon especially lol.

Take away the laws of physics, gravity, and money. Take away ALL maintanence we do on fish tanks. NO water changes, forget hormones they dont exist. Algae is a figment of your imagination. No such thing as poop, or ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, and fish get as big as you want them to be. PH, KH, Heavy metals, Overfeeding, hazardous chemicals, water parameters, etc all dont exist. glass is indestructable, nuclear proof, rodent proof, bullet proof, and unbreakable even with age. Take away the need for heaters. filters, lights, bacteria, eletrical contraptions, say they were unnecessary. Take away the lack of space in your house, say it suddenly expanded by a thousand times or more/less. say everything was FREE. say electricity is magic and there are no bills.

whats the first thing you would do in a world like this (fish related)? Like would you get a thousand 180's and stack them on top of each other and get an elevator installed? Or would you make an ocean with glass walls and all of your stocking preferances? Natural food chain, specimen only tanks, breeding pair of rtc, oscar, rays, pufferfish, eels, pleco, cichlids, catfish, bichir, gar, airapaima, etc, region specific tank, or just every single species of fish known to man in the same tank. Would you get fish tank floors? Would you create your own fish? How about a freshwater shark? Aquatic porquipine? Platypoise? Elephant? underwater roses? You dream it you got it!

Personally I would like a nice big aquarium. I dont want it too long, just long enough that I can See the whole tank from 1 view. I dont want to have to move around to see everything. I want it super wide, but not SOO wide that the fish become grains of sand 100 miles away. Something like 300 feet wide i guess. I want it tall, But leveled with my height, without the need for a ladder. I want a tank to feel like a public aquarium, but be private. I would like to be able to see it at all angles in different parts of the house. I think having about 3 feet diameter cylindrical tubes in every room of the house in plain view, all connected into 1 gigantic primary tank in the living room. Like a fish tank couch, bed, table, chair, floor, sink, toilet, misc bowls, all connected with the pipes which connect to the main unit. But still with the comfort, like a soft fuzzy, yet translucent couch, functioning seperate sink water, toilet, comftorable chairs, sturdy table, etc. And i would like 1 MILLION GUPPIES in the center. But in a huge tank so everybody has as much room as they would in the wild. I would like SOO many guppies, I could keep rtc, tsn, cuckoo catfish, and 25 giraffe catfish in the same tank on the bottom. With babies giraffe catfish swimming around too. A breeding pair per say. I would like a group of foot long medusa pleco breeding pairs with little babies on the glass moving and the parents hastily wading off intruders. I would like 2,000 yellow labs in 1 corner with lots of rockwork and the cuckoo catfish going crazy breeding. With a spawn happending every 6 hours like clockwork. Watching the cichlids practicing brood care, the female scooping up the eggs into her mouth and the male nudging the catfish out of the way. catfish babies in 1/3 of every holding females mouth. The guppies breed fast enough to withstand ANY predation their #'s magically come back in the blink of an eye adult size always at 1,000,000 guppies. In the other corner, I would like a planted tank. With discus, killifish, giraffe catfish, etc. The guppies inhabit every area of the tank. Dwarf shrimps cruising around in the java moss. I would like 1 victoria amazonica giant water lily in the center with 5 lily pads and 1 flower always in bloom. thousands of sword plants, java fern, anubias, jungle val, ludwigia 'red', and HC on the foreground. I would like a single breeding pair of datnoids. In the center of the tank I want a full grown redwood tree with java fern and anubias ALL OVER IT! Then at the top i want it to become a paudarium; halfwater and land. tree frogs and parakeets everywhere. Kitty Cats stalking mice in the bushes and pouncing with their pupils wide as the moon. Kittens learning to hunt with momma :). TOO MANY THINGS I WANT! :)

My house would be a huge aquarium all above and around you and each person in the house stocks a room so everyone is happy and we have extra chimneys to feed them and I would have a million guppies under me with
a divider with tiny holes so fry swim through

First, I'd establish a time-free construct which, once entered, protects the user from the ravages of time, chores, wife, phone calls etc. You'd enter and stay for days until bored, then emerge at the same time you went in.

For simplicity's sake, and to prevent my tendency to create planet-sized, nearly eternal beings, I'm limiting myself to a cube of water about two miles by two miles by two miles.

I'd want a rock band of adonis plecos covering foo fighter songs in one corner. I could ride my bicycle by and toss algae wafers into their tip jar and watch them eat them.

Complex rockwork all around the bottom edges would give way to broad sandy areas, with shorelines and trees growing up into bubbles where floating bettas would breed in the leaves - largely producing skittles instead of progeny.

Hordes of cory catfish (not sissy ones, the real warriors, brochis britski and kin) would scour the sand for spaghetti, gut-loading themselves for me so when I barbecue them they're already stuffed with pasta.

My team of saddled flathead catfish would be at the ready to tow me through my paradise, in a chariot made of characin scales of various sorts, gleaming like rainbows.

All over the walls of this cube, vines grow in tangles, obtrusively bulging out into the center of the cube. Swarms of all of my favorite fish live and breed in these vines. Natural predators pick off the ugliest fish, in a twist of engineering, resulting in only the most beautiful lineages that still have natural vigor. The sheer volume of dropped eggs would feed the catfish well.

Sting-pizzas would flock through the water, gently flapping their pepperoni-laden wings mesmerizing-ly.

Ariel would bring me food and sing me songs.

A giant bubble column in the corner would be a great place to float neutrally and nap.

Sea monkeys would fight over coconuts.

And the sun would shine all the way to the bottom.

With all these threads you've been posting it seems like you have to much time on your hands.
