I have yet to have a kel that grew slowly. Orinos on the other hand.

good luck with the tems badger. these tems definitely have the strongest orange/gold coloration I've seen or owned.

Your Tems have some brothers and sisters in Maryland; I just received some of the same batch from Jeff.

The ones I have are only eating NLS very small pellets so far. They are ignoring the frozen blood worms I have, which I thought was strange. Maybe the brand I have is too big for them. Let me know what foods they like best for you, and I will let you know how my guys are progressing.

I wouldn't be complaining haha. if your juvies are already on pellets, you've won half the battle. My tems wouldn't touch pellets after I gave them some tilapia filets.

Lol, yeah eating pellets at this size is awesome. The only problem is they seem very half- hearted about eating the pellets. Im afraid they are not going to get enough calories in them to survive. They are a little skinny so I want to find something that I can fatten them up on without resorting to live feeders (disease concerns). I think they are still too small even for small guppies, unless I use guppy fry. They are only about 1.5 inches.

ahhhh gotcha. I haven't had a juvie bass that didn't nail frozen bloodworms. i dont think the BW are too big. my juvies ate plenty of 1"+ live blackworms. I've always kept a 10 gal stuffed with treated feeders just in case I couldn't get them go on the other offerings. I'm not one to keep a bass imaciated for the sake of pellet training.
