A growing trend in bad info

There sure seems to be a lot of misguided info going on in some of these threads.
I'm not going into details as to who or what has been said. BUT Remember, a little knowledge is sometimes more harmful than being a complete rookie because of what you think you know.
Hours/days/weeks of researching on the Internet doesn't even come close to real life experience.
Sit back and bring in as much as possible before you give advice. I've been fish keeping for 20+ years and I'm still learning new things.

I agree with both statements Ive also been doing this for 20+ years and still learning I see a lot of regurgitated information that isnt based on actual real world experience, maybe these are the individuals that will be starting threads like this one in 20 years

I very much agree. I dont have a 600 gallon tank and a 100 gallon tank but have what i percieve as a large enough living space and adaquate filtration to house large oddball fish and never had any fatalities in my experience although i have read threads where members have but they always know best.

Sometimes the matter is urgent and general knowledge is given, although hopefully one wouldn't base their actions on just one post/person..... Hopefully



Were all guilty, but we were all just trying to help. More than some can say....


Experience is good, but researching before hand can avoid huge mishaps in the future. Live and learn but most of all live.
