There's no antivenom for this species because there's no way to administer it quickly enough to do any good. Most times, this species will inflict a bite without the victim knowing it occurred until they develop difficulty in taking a breath.
 
You might as well have a pet rattle snake!!!

Plenty of people keep rattle snakes and other venomous creatures....you just can't be stupid about it. They can't bite you if you don't let them, ie...keep your hand away from them, don't handle it. You don't need to stick your hand in the tank...

Hi Oddball, just curious how long does it take to kill an adult human? If i remember correctly i think it was 2-5 min or does it take a bit longer?

Forget the blue ringed octopus. If you want a small cephalopod (if you can find it) look into the bobtail squid euprymna scolopes its not actually a squid - more like in between a cuttlefish and octopus in appearance, and they use bioluminescence to camouflage with the water surface at night. Much cooler, and not lethal ;) from what I've read they can be kept and bred in groups in a 10g
