Hi this is completely unrelated to me but my dad owns a business and 1 of his employees has a little 5g aquarium. Its been cycled for years. He doesn't slack off on maintenance at all, he does daily 20% waterchanges, the glass is always algae free, and the tank looks to be in pristine condition... until recently. So his girlfriend is a professional veterinarian and he decided it was time for a filter upgrade. So before he had a penguin 20g rated model. Idk why but he bought a tiny hob canister filter also rated for 20g and threw out the old penguin without mixing media. I believe its a pennplax canister. Their both rated the same so idk why he changed models it was working great b4? It has 1 blue, no stripes just blue african cichlid whether its a mbuna or peacock idk? Its about 2-3" and that's the only fish. It's a wet pet. So after a few days it got really cloudy. I should mention the cichlid moves the tank gravel around all the time. He piles it up against the glass and around his little hiding place. The only ornament is a bhudda. The cichlid doesn't really hide, he greets you and begs for food like crazy. Is the tank overstocked?
