Help how much for a 15" TSN?

Welcome, mate. Sounds like you got a great tank.

$80 would be ok from an LFS. From a private owner? May be a bit steep. It all depends on whether he wants to unload the fish or it is you who really want it. If the former, $0-$50 would be fine. If the latter, $100 is fine. But as stated above, one can get a 5" baby for $20 and, if all is done right, he will be 15" in 5-10 months.

yeah if i can get the large tsn for the right price then i will go that rout or else i will just buy a baby
 
Sounds like you are experienced... but thought I'd mention anyway that when he hits 2.5'-3' (in a couple of years), the 650 gal will be too small. An adult TSN requires about a 12' x 6' footprint at a minimum, IMO and IME.

yes this is true i am hoping to build a large pond eventually in my heated machine shed. thanks for the replies!
