Sturgeon In Outdoor Colorado Pond

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They grow slow bro...real slow... I'd recommend actually growing them out in warmer water but not to warm to get the most growth out of them faster. Just an FYI I kept a white surgeon in a 240 for months with a temp of 78 degrees. He was fine and ate well but still didn't see huge growth, however I know I seen more growth than if he'd been in cold water. Just food for thought bro.

Thanks for the advice MP you changed my mind. Instead of 60s i will do around 75-78 jut to speed up the growth.

I keep my sturgeon at 42° and i am getting a decent growth rate out of em but i feed alot and keep up on water changes should be fine just make sure you have good current

Siberian sturgeon are by far the best choice for stocking fishing ponds. They are the hardiest species, and grow very fast! If you can get those in the US, I would definately recommend them.
