Hate to be the guy pointing it out, but you say you're in Alaska, and that means you can't keep these guys...:(

I wish there was a photo chart of what a rtg is suppose to look like :( like a monthly up to date picture !! It's amazing how it looks completely different when it's young to adult sized (compared to jardinis ,silvers )

Jardini and Silvers can look pretty different when it's young to adult size too. It's just how you keep the Aro. :) It can be tricky to identify a small Asian Aro in a all white tank.

I'm not sure if you can see it but the pic that you said is a banjar arowana looks like a golden arowana. It has that golden tint near its forhead around the gill plate area. Golden arowana have yellow tails as well.
If you look carefully, you will see pale orange-red in the dorsal, caudal, anal fin. It's washed out from the white tank.

Hm I see what you mean there im still learning on arowana as I am a noobie :p just research alot on it for fun but im in cali so i dont keep any :p But i mean can you explain to be that golden tint near the gill plate? I seen banjar arowana that are in wtt in pics and its very different from the first pic though.

can you explain to me* that golden tint I have seen on some occasions of golden arowana have that slight tint as well but will fade

I'm sure that there is no gold tint near the gill. Most likely it's something from the quality of the photo. It could be a Green Aro but I think it's Banjar Red. I would need a better quality photo but like I said earlier. Small Aros kept in white tanks can be tricky to identify.
