I was talking to a good friend yesterday and he was telling me about how his friend had 2 really nice saltwater set up. Then one day in one of them a big white worm came out of his love rock and ate one of his fish. That continued for 2 years until he didn't have anymore fish. Think that is possible, or was he pulling my leg :P.
When I was first setting up my latest tank, something kicked up a lot of sand when I was moving my live rock, that wasn't me, but I didn't really see any thing that could have done that. Your crazy stories?

there are few if not no worms that eat living fish to my knowledge... they generally eat dead/dieing ones though as they are the "first responders" to dead animals, so generally I like having worms, keeps ammonia down when fish die. the "weirdest" thing I've seen come out of a rock was a small fish, something along the lines of a blenny or jawfish... which i was very surprized that it survived shipping. Then invert wise the "weirdest" in the sence of appearance was a chiton, basically a slug with armour plates on its back, that said I now add them intentionally to my systems.

i bought some live rock form the LFS and when i put it in my tank i noticed a new fish in the tank also. there was a green cromis that was hideing in the live rock and it made it all the way to my tank

The strangest thing I've ever found is a Scutus snail. He's still around, healthy and growing. He's probably doubled in size since i first found him. I named him Nessie.

lets see some fishing hooks, a blender, my american express.. but in all seriousness ive had alot of snails like 3 or 4 starfish and a blenny inside one of the holes and yeah i think he is messing with you about to worm

I bought a piece of LR from my LFS when i first started my tank and a few weeks after the cycle was done a porcelain crab crawled out of the LR. He survived the cycle of a brand new tank
