Hey I see you are from fon du lac! Where do you get your fish/corals?
 
Fire worms will attack ad eat sleeping fish. They look like bristle worms but huge. I bought a 8" in my tank a couple years ago. He was about as big around as my middle finger. They're not white though

Could this white worm be a snowflake eel? It could survive the transport with the live rock. It would also be something that could eat smaller fish. Only thinking this because it's whiteish and, well, it looks wormy!
 
One is going to assume if it is a snowflake eel, its too small, at that description, to eat your fish. One is going to assume that in order for an eel to be big enough to eat one of your fish, you will know there's an eel there...

That said, there are hundreds of eels out there.....so who knows?? Set a trap?
 
True. I'm no expert on eels, so it was the first thing that came to mind. If I had it happen to me I would set up cameras and make a homemade horror film :D
