Not sure you have gone through this...

The reference there is just for upper jaws, which are the ones suitable for your setup...
Personally I would suggest
Delhezi
Senegal
Albino Senegal

And any of the Severums if you like to keep it low on the aggression...

not a big fan of albino fish, what do you think would be a good substitute for the albino senegal? i want 3 different bichirs

That's my delhizi and palmas polli, you could do Senegal, polli, and delhizi and have a good lookin bunch.

As for plecos, I'd have to see what a L114 pleco is, but if its carnivorous then it probably wouldn't be a good idea.

This combo is nice....
I guess with Pleco only one would work ie bristlenose.... I have one with my laps and sen.... No issues so far....
And yes for your substrate stick to sand red or black or mixed.... They will look nice for this bunch or any poly.... And the rotkeils are a good mix too.... cheers :)

IMO, even the smallest of upper jaws should be kept in a 75gal.
Senegals and Delhezi are (or at least should be) active swimmers, and need the space.

Keeping on in a smaller tank as a display maybe, but more than one no.
