I think if you over stock SA and CA cichlids they do better, i see more aggresson when theres only 2-3 big fish in a tank unless they grew up together in the tank then ive seen them work out great.

Yeah which is basically what ended up happening in my tank lol lucky me never any aggression what so ever

Made this mistake of getting an 8" red devil. He looked harmless in a 200 gallon tank at the pet store. Stared at him for a good 20 minutes and decided to get it. Didn't take long enough before he started terrorizing my tank. Had to return him and had him exchanged for a peacock bass. A pair will most likely kill all the other fish in your tank no matter how large they are.
