Need opinion on what i did with tank divider.

Need opinion on what i did to hold up my tank divider please.
I used 3 pcs hose cut , and i used it to hold the acrylic divider against the tank glass.
My concern is will this cause my Tank's glass to break due to the pressure being excerted by the hose against the glass?
my tank is 8x2x2.5 and its made of 1/2 inch glass. My tank is about 5-6 years old.
should i remove them?

Should be ok if your really concerned try egg crate an squeeze it in there as a divider that's what I always use for dividers

Thanks im worried my arowanas barbels might be injured by the eggcrate as they have the tendency to rub against the divider

Then get a roll of fiberglass screen it's soft made for sliding door windows. An zip tie it to egg crate ... That's what I did to mine

I was going to say, why not find some way to attach the divider to suction cups, then you don't have to worry about the forces pushing against your tank and it should be able to hold up against the fish (with enough of them)?

They sell divider slots with suction cups attached 5 for like 6 bucks ibought off eBay came from China took about two weeks but work good

thanks, I have those my problem is my glass keeps on getting stubborn algae, and the easily loose their grip.
