Hi all. New to puffers here. Don't know a bamn thing about them. Just stated my research and I've been perusing these threads looking for some insite. I have a spare 70 gal that I'm thinking might be cool to keep a puffer in. This tank was to be the sump for my 220, but decided to go in another direction with filtration. So...it's 40"x20"x20" and I'm thinking nicely planted, with some driftwood and I'm not totaly against going brakish if need be. As the title states, I'd like to be able to keep him here for life, but I'd like him to be as big as possable, but still healthy and comfortable. I'm like him to become my little buddy. I want to buy him small and grow him out.
Thanks.
Al.

If you're willing to go BW you could keep a pair of GSPs in there or a GSP & Ceylon.

How big would either of theses guys get? I'm really kinda intrested in a 1 fish tank. Would a 10 or 12 inch puffer be healthy and comfortable in a 40"x20" footprint?
