The NFC East is always one of the toughest divisions in the NFL. I agree smash mouth football does take it's toll on a team over the course of the season. I don't know that they will be NFC East Champs but they are getting much better and it's tough to repeat so they have as much a shot as the others, somebody has to be left at the end and the skins are the sleeper in that division and they can beat you. Dallas spent so much effort on gearing their team towards beating the Giants, not being the Giants might be the edge they need to take it. I don't think the Eagles are there yet but It's early and my crystal ball is no clearer than anyone elese's I'm just saying I wouldn't be shocked.

Problem is their division. Dallas, Philly AND new york giants. They beat themselves up so much that only the division winners make the playoffs. You think the skins can be that team as its highly unlikely a wild card team comes from that division

It's extremely likely the skins will win the div.It's a long season and lot's of thing s can happen,but at this point the skins are scaring the crap out of every nfc east team,and prolly half the league.They didn't even slow down after losing their no.1 rec! right now it's niners and skins.what will the pwer ranks look like this week?HTTR!

Uhhh im not scared of the redskins, did you see how bad the saints looked? Bad angles to the ball, missed tackles, gambles that went wrong. Even drew Brees looked bad, and don't say it was the pash rush, because he's faced a lot more pressure and still excelled. Slow down on the whole 1st or 2nd best team in the conference. Their 4th in their own division and that isn't changing based on a week 1 performance, didnt they start out well last year too?

Just don't get your hopes too high

The Skins beat the Giants twice last year and lost a tough second game to Dallas in OT. They showed improvement last year even though thier record doesn't show it. They are a much improved team this year. Like I said before it's very early but they may surprize you this year.

things change fast in the nfc!The giants will probably take some revenge,but the Cowboys will be facing a texan-and there's a new sheriff in town!the skins will beat the eagles and cowboys this season.

Mark Bavarro! Does he still have his restaurant.I was there for the grand opening party.shmoozing w/the G-men and Bill P. was a blast.The food was great,and they treated me w/class and respect even though I'm and always will be a Redskin.

I agree it is tough for two NFC East teams to make the playoffs although not unprecidented, as recently as 07 The Cowboys were NFC East champs and the Giants went in as a wild card and took the big show out from under the Pats (19-0 DENIED!). So it has happened.

The Lions? Another tough division. I like'em but this isn not their year IMO.

Kev you are the first Falcons fan I have ever known of, I know that sounds odd but seriously I'm BSing you. I'm sure there are plenty in Ga. but I don't think it's one of those teams that has broad appeal outside it's home market. At least not in NY/NJ.
