I bought 5 dollars of large feeders ( goldfish) around 48. Came home put them in my death row tank lol..after 2 days more than half died and now i have 5 out of 48. I think they were sick when i got them..they have white stuff around them..what should i do with those 5 goldfishs

well you obviously brought bad feeders, sounds like fungus. I wouldn't feed them to my fish. I only buy feeders from reputable places (not petsmart) cause if you want your fish to be healthy feed them healthy food. would you eat some rancid meat ?

Walked into Valley Pets in Colorado Springs today to see a supposedly breeding pair of 13 inch pikes in a 30 gallon tank.

woah that is bad. all the LFS' around me have good quality. even my Local Petland despite the reputation it gets in America is perfectly clean and always healthy interesting stock with knowledgeable staff

I would very serously advice to avoid feeders , now that the mfk pellets are out make a few diferent batches with various ingredients.

And if you must feed feeders , get fingerlings from a aquaculture tilapia farm. These are bred in sterile conditions and not very expensive over the lfs feeders.

I once had a fw tilapia survive to adulthood and thier prolific breeding kept a steady supply of feeders for my other fish. Kinda very natural thing if you think about it.

As for the balance feeders, fix them with medication just as you would care for any other fish and if they survive , make a nice lil indoor pond water feature and dump em in it.

I have great respect for goldfish , as they are single handedly responsible for getting most people in the hobby.
Good thing the chineese did hundreds of years ago.
