Male Leo size?

What size do male Leo's usually reach? the sticky says 30" but I have never seen one this large. Most that I have seen are less than 20".

How long would one take to reach a 20" disk?
 
I was hoping to see some replies to your question since I have the same question. I have a male leo that is 15-16 inch. I've had him 2 years and he was 13 inch when I got him. He eats very well and has gotten quite thick, but I've begun to wonder if he's as big as he's going to get. The other rays in the same tank are still growing.
 
just sold this male today 18 months old and big i hate to think of the size of my other rays as he look tinny in the tank

My male breeders are in the 16" range at about 3.5 years old. Their growing has slowed down but not stopped. I would guess they will top out at about 20" inchs

female leos get massive i have a 5 year old p154 female and my 2.5 leo female has out grown her now at over 18inch disk


i think its all down to tank size and water changes i wouldnt put a male leo in anything smaller than 36 wide
 
I'm going to call you on that one. Maybe it the tank it looked huge and 3 feet but really don't think so.
